Joseph Riggert, M.S. Ed., CCC-SLP, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2010. He graduated in 2012 from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a Master’s of Science in Education degree in Speech-Language Pathology. He holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in the state of South Dakota for Speech-Language Pathology. Joey has worked with both the pediatric and adult populations and has experience in a variety of settings including skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, acute care, public schools, and early intervention programs. He currently sees a variety of pre-school aged children with communication delays and disorders ranging from receptive/expressive language delays, articulation delays, phonological delays/disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other various neurological disorders. One of the things Joey enjoys most about his job is knowing that the skills he is teaching his clients and their families’ early on are the skills that will help them succeed in life. He also loves seeing when kids and parents have “aha! moments” while they’re working together in therapy. In Joey’s free time, he enjoys listening, writing and making music, spending time outdoors, and sharing a good amount of laughs with family and friends.
