Joseph Riggert, M.S. Ed., CCC-SLP, earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2010. He graduated in 2012 from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a Masters of Science in Education degree in Speech-Language Pathology. He holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in the state of South Dakota for Speech-Language Pathology. Joey has worked with both the pediatric and adult populations and has experience in a variety of settings including skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, acute care, early intervention programs, and schools. His primary focus encompasses working with children, aged birth to 21, with communication delays and disorders ranging from receptive/expressive language delays, articulation delays, phonological delays/disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other various neurological disorders. One of the things Joey enjoys most about his job is helping his clients learn new skills to accelerate their development and build self-confidence. Outside of his career, Joey loves spending quality time with his beautiful family – his wife, Karina, and two daughters, Brekken and Veda. When time allows, he looks forward to any moment he can get out to any of the local streams to fly fish and be one with nature.
