My name is Mikayla Grinnell, and I am currently completing my Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) here at CTS! I graduated in 2023 with my BA in Speech-Language Pathology from Columbia College and recently graduated from Emerson College with my MS in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I am working towards my Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and am hoping to acquire this at the end of my CFY!
I grew up in Rapid City and have worked with kids my entire life through babysitting, Sunday school, ABA therapy, and Speech Therapy. During my master’s program, I was a student at CTS and enjoyed the culture and family-centered therapy approach, so I decided to come back! I believe that every child deserves a voice and the opportunity to communicate with the world around them and am so excited to have the opportunity to help children find their voice every day!
When I’m not here, I’m typically working on some type of craft, hiking and fishing, or getting some much-needed quality time with my stepson and fiancé. I am excited to keep learning about this field and am honored to have the opportunity to work with kids and their families to help them reach their goals!
