A native of North Dakota, Alexa Steve graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Masters of Occupational Therapy degree in May 2017. While at UND she was an active member of the Student Occupational Therapy Association, volunteering her time and skills for those in need in the Grand Forks community. During her studies, Alexa completed fieldwork experiences working both with adults who have mental health disorders, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries, and also children in the school and clinical setting. It was these fieldworks that helped her develop a passion for working with the pediatric population. Alexa finds joy in helping children learn valuable skills to perform to their daily occupations.
Alexa moved to the Black Hills shortly after graduation and in her free time enjoys cooking, outdoor activities, reading, and yoga.
